Chocolate-Covered Carrot Patch
Recipe Credit: LifeMadeSimple Bakes
Have you ever seen anything as cute as this? This chocolate-coated strawberry looks just like the Easter Bunny’s favourite snack! Adorable and definitely delicious, we predict this sweet treat is going to be a favourite among all your guests.
What you’ll need:
- 1 pack of Great Temptations Mini Choc Brownies (makes 6)
- 1 punnet of fresh strawberries
- 100g white baking chocolate
- Orange food dye
Start by melting your white chocolate on the stove or in the microwave. Stir until evenly melted and slowly add 2 drops of orange food dye and mix until evenly coloured. If you don’t have orange food dye, use a mix of yellow and red dyes with a 2:1 ratio. Carefully dip each strawberry into the chocolate mixture while holding the strawberry by the cap and gently place it on a non-stick pan to dry. While drying, take the remainder of your chocolate and drizzle over the strawberries using the back of a spoon. Allow your chocolate strawberries to dry fully. Using a dessert spoon, scoop out and discard the middle of the Great Temptations Mini Choc Brownies (we recommend saving the brownie and making a dessert out of it with ice cream later on). Fit chocolate-covered strawberries into the muffin and you’re ready to serve!

Hatching Chicks Deviled Eggs

After a more savoury snack? These egg-citing deviled egg chicks are the cutest Easter appetisers on offer.
Ingredients needed:
- 6 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 carrot
- Black peppercorns
Start by hard boiling your eggs in a pot for a minute before removing the pan from the heat and covering for another 14 minutes. Remove each egg from the boiling water and transfer to a bowl filled with iced water. Once completely cooled, slice off the bottom end of each egg (this will be the base for the eggs to sit). Next, remove a quarter of the egg from the other end (this will become the top of the chick). Scoop out the yolk from each egg and combine in a bowl with mayonnaise, mustard and salt. Place each egg onto your serving plate sitting on its flat base with the hollow end of the egg facing up. Scoop a tablespoon of the filling into each egg, making sure to overfill the gg to leave space for the chick’s face. Add the top quarter of the egg onto the filling.
For the chick’s features, start by peeling and slicing the carrot into small slices approximately 5mm by 3mm and 500mm long. Cut each of these slices into 6 pieces and arrange in bunches of three for each chick’s foot. Cut the remaining carrot into small triangles and add each to the chick’s face for the beak. Finally, place two peppercorns for eyes onto the filling and voila, you’re done! Refrigerate eggs until ready to serve.
