  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Virgin Olive Oil
  • Seasoning (Choose based on preferences)
    • White pepper and salt
    • Garlic powder, salt and black pepper

If you’re looking for a savoury snack sweet potato chips are a life-saver to curb kids' cravings. Just cut a few sweet potatoes into thin slices, add olive oil and sprinkle your selected seasoning. Make sure to to combine all ingredients well ensuring that the potatoes are lightly coated. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees celsius and then flip the chips over before baking for another 10 to 15 minutes till the chips are lightly golden. 

 

Fruit Fusion Delights 

Add some colour to your kid’s diet by cutting up a selection of your child’s favourite fruits. Mix all your fruit in a bowl and if you want to keep your fruit extra fresh add a squeeze of lemon juice.  If you want to make it more decorative, take it a step further by arranging it on fruit skewers or making a fruit pizza.

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of grated carrots
  • 2 cups of steamed broccoli crowns, finely cut.
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup milk

  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder 

Sneak some veggies into your kid’s diet with these delicious bite-sized broccoli cheesy bites. First, preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius. Then prepare a 12-cup baking tray by lightly brushing oil to prevent it from sticking. Combine and mix all ingredients in a bowl and then add it to the baking tray. Bake it until they’re lightly browned on the top for about 15 to 18 minutes.

Simply combine all ingredients into small bite-sized balls and pop them in the fridge until firm. Banana Oat Cookies

  • ¾ cup ripe and mashed banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cup of rolled oats

These soft and chewy cookies make for a wholesome gluten-free treat that kids will love.  Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius. In a medium-sized bowl add mashed bananas and mix in the egg. Then add the remaining ingredients until combined well. Add spoonfuls of the mixture on a baking sheet and flatten with a spoon. Bake for about 13 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.

Pizza bites

For the base:

  • 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
